I just got to be apart of an awesome project with some of the best web developers I’ve ever gotten the chance to call friends, and one of these guys showed me this little gem!

This is an awesome template that will automatically set up your markup structure, css framework and get you ready for dev in all browsers. The more and more I learn about HTML5, the more and more tools like this speed up the build & overall production.

Special thanks to Ryan Jarvinen (http://ryanjarvinen.com/) for the hook ups on this awesome tool. Check it out, and look at their resources! The team that built this was thorough and everything is well documented. Happy coding!

Free Vector IconsIcon Dock has a set of your standard Social Media Vector Icons that they are continuously updating with all the latest goodies. I was stoked to see Spotify, Dribbble and Forrst in their update, amongst many others! I was so stoked on this set (again) that I had to post it as some freebies.

Please give them credit if and when you use their icon set in your pages. You’ll totally recognize this set because I use it in almost all of my projects. They are clean and pixel perfect, and go with most designs/layouts/aesthetics.

Check out some of the updates below, and hit the download link at the bottom of the post to directly download the goodies. They come sorted by size & in PNG format, but also Icon Dock has included the EPS files! So launch Adobe Illustrator and go to town tweaking this guys. They also have a ton of other cool and super useful resources as well. Check them out!

This is a rad little find by my boy Toni a.k.a. @mewithyou posted on twitter and I had to share!

The guide includes binding topcis such as: Saddle stitch, Loop stitch, Stab stitch, Perfect bound, Singer sewn & Case bound!

Here is an except:

We’ve made a guide for you with details about common binding techniques. You can download the PDF, print it out yourself and make into a little booklet. The only cost is a tweet or a Facebook post, that’s it.

It is free, but I would recommend donating if you find it useful! A product this useful put out by a team this generous… Deserves some love!

I’ll be printing mine later today and building it as well!

You guys! This is probably one of the best photoshop tutorials I’ve seen in a long ass time AND its Batman-themed. WTF. Too awesome. Follow this link to view the tutorial. Click below to download the PSD! Enjoy!

Here is a little something I designed on my lunch break today. I wanted a better background for my iPhone 4 than a screen shot from the temp website I put up. This is what I came up with.

Update:

I’ve had quite a few people ask for the download! So here it is. Please feel free to download this and throw it on your iPhone or share it everywhere. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due. If you do use it, please send me a screen shot (Home Button + Power Button on iPhones/iPods) and send it to me. If you do, I have a present for you. Promise.

xoxo,

Chad

Hey friends! Just ran across this today. Head on over to this site and grab these textures. These are great and just seeing this post makes me want to dive into AE and mess around. So you guys do that for me and let me know if you come up with anything cool!

About this font family

Museo… it all started with my love for the letter ‘U’. This uppercase letter just came to me as an image in a daydream. The top of both stems bent into semi-slab serifs. From this principle I worked out the rest of the uppercase letters. My first intention was to make it an all-caps display font, but after a while, I changed my mind. I wanted it to be a bit more versatile, so I decided to add lowercase and adjust spacing and kerning to increase legibility.

This OpenType font family comes in five weights, and each weight comes with support for CE languages, even Esperanto. Besides ligatures, contextual alternatives, stylistic alternates, fractions and proportional/tabular figures, Museo has a ‘case’ feature for case-sensitive forms.
